I made a tumblr account in an attempt to concentrate on more professional things. (HAH) It's about time I had my own personal space to show off any work I may produce in the next lifetime concerning design or communications. Also I can talk about whatever interests me in the field. Might as well, right? I worked four hours on a little project and while the result really sucks, it will be fun seeing how I progress.

So, I am completely dumbfounded in my lack of song choice! I have no idea what to sing. I don't think my head has wrapped around all this, yet. Suggestions?

For American Idol, I only get 20 seconds and was thinking of the chorus from Invincible by Muse. It's strong, powerful, and I can make an impression with it. I want to stay clear from overused, popular songs, unless by magical chance I get passed the first round, then I'll do something more recognizable.

As for the NH Idol I am completely stumped because it needs to be a full song a cappella- this I can do but I fear the songs I can sing really well aren't what the audition is looking for.

So suggestions! I have only a week and a half until audition number one. :[

I will be auditioning for American Idol and a New Hampshire contest, (ironically named New Hampshire Idol). I say screw it to labels. All I'm doing is doing what I love and I don't care how far I go.

But I need to not go completely insane, so let me tweak this INSANE schedule for myself:

July 8th in Nashua at 6pm- NH Idol auditions. (dear sister and I are doing this together)
Need to sing one song a cappella.

July 11 - Announce Top 40. (I'm predicting I'll get this far.)

July 24 - Top 40 at Meadowbrook.
need one Karaoke song that I got to tell the dude by July 14th.)

July 25 - Announce Top 25 (Slim Chance)

August 7 - Top 25 Perform at Church Landing in Meredith
Another Karaoke song

August 8 - Announce Final 15 (Yeah OKAY.)

August 28 - Finals at The Margate in Laconia
Two rounds, two songs. WHOOP.


Now, if one wonders, the closest American Idol audition is New Jersey on August 19th. Well I'm hella doing it if everything works out for me. See, we're in Pennsylvania until the 16th and dad wanted to be home by the 17th. BUT. If we just stay one day later, we'll end up in NJ on the 18th, in which I will register and shit, and prepare for a 5am wake up call on the 19th, stay in line for fucking forever, and journey through round one.

Thing is, rounds 2 and 3 (and who knows how many there are) could be weeks apart. In which case, I'll need to find some super, fantastic friends to get me down to NJ on a weekday from Keene. Or I might not even make it past round one, (which is fine by me, at least I did it.) They're half looking for entertainment, which means people that suck, and the other half will be incredible. I could get fucked up the butt for being "just not what they're looking for".

BUT OH MAN. I'll talk to my dad about driving through NJ on the way home. If not, I will probably bother someone to drive 5 hours on the 18th with me.
But fuck this is happening, I'm going all out this summer.

I'm sure I'll write more about it when it gets closer. But heeeeeeey, I'm gonna be famous for a few minutes somewhere along the line.




AND THIS JUST IN: My American Eagle clothes came today and they fit. :) I feel very good.

Our final chorus concert will be this Friday at 7:30 in the recital hall. Expect to pay 5 dollars and come early to find your way.

Awesome. Our recital last Saturday went really well.



I only have about two weeks left here. I'll be home May 7th or 8th.
